About Geometry Worksheet Activity 3C:
Activity 3C is an introduction to reflectional symmetry in polygons through folding polygons to find axes of symmetry.
Prerequisite Skill: Draw images in reflections of polygons (Assignment 3.7).
How to find axes of symmetry in polygons:
(Do problem 1 by following the steps below)
1. With scissors, cut out the triangle from the page of polygons.
2. Fold the triangle in half.
3. Open the triangle. Use a straightedge to draw a line along the fold.
4. Use a straightedge to draw the same line of reflection on the triangle in problem 1.
