Assignment 10.10 is an introduction to angles and arcs determined by lines intersecting circles.

 

Prerequisite Skills:  Identify and name arcs and major arcs (Assignment 10.7).  

 

Definition:  An inscribed angle is an angle with its vertex on the circle and sides that are chords.

 

Theorem:  Intersecting lines that intersect a circle intersect at the center of the circle, or in the interior of the circle, or on the circle, or in the exterior of the

                        circle.
