About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 4.14:

Assignment 4.14 is applications of the theorem for the sum of the measures of the angles in convex polygons to finding measures of angles in polygons.

Prerequisite Skills:  Calculate the sum of the measures of the angles of a convex polygon (Assignment 4.13).  Solve algebraic equations with one variable.  Evaluate algebraic expressions.

Theorems:  The sum of the measures of the angles of any convex polygon is 180 times the number of triangles formed by all diagonals drawn from one vertex.

The formula for the measure of each angle of an equiangular polygon is a = 180 (n-2)    (a is the measure of each angle; n is the number of sides)

                                                                                                                                                         n
