About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 6.22:     

 

Assignment 6.22 is an introduction to proportions involving medians, altitudes, and angle bisectors in similar triangles.

 

Prerequisite Skills:  Identify medians, altiitudes, and angle bisectors in triangles (Assignments 3,15, 3.16, 3.17).  Identify similar triangles using the AA postulate (Assignment 6.14).  Solve proportions (Assignment 6.2).

 

Theorem:  In similar triangles, the lengths of corresponding altitudesmedians, and angle bisectors are proportional to the lengths of corresponding sides.
