Prerequisite Skill: Construct the midpoint of a line segment (Activity 1C).

 

How to construct a line segment with length one-half the length of a given segment:

 

(Do problem 1 by following the step below.)

 

1.   Construct the midpoint of line segment AB.

 

2.   Write the letter C at the midpoint.  

 

3.   AC is a line segment with length one-half of line segment AB.
