About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 10.2:

Assignment 10.2 is an introduction to basic postulates and theorems for line segments and angles in circles.

Prerequisite Skills:  Identify radii and diameters of circles (Assignment 10.1).  Apply the theorem about the base angles in isosceles triangles (Assignment 4.11).  Apply the definition of perpendicular lines (Assignment 2.16).  Apply the definition of bisectors of line segments (Assignment 2.17).  Solve algebraic equations with one variable.

Theorems:   All radii in a circle are congruent.

The length of a diameter of a circle is twice the length of the radius of the circle.

A radius is perpendicular to a chord if and only if it bisects the chord.
