Assignment 2.13 is an introduction to opposite rays, linear pairs, and vertical angles.

 

Prerequisite Skills: Identify collinear points (Assignment 2.2).  Identify rays (Assignment 2.1).  Name angles (Assignment 2.4).  

 

Definitions:  For three collinear points A, B, and C with C between A and B, ray CA and ray CB are opposite rays.

                          A linear pair is a pair of adjacent angles in which the non-common sides are opposite rays.

                          Vertical angles are pairs of angles in which both pairs of sides are opposite rays.
