Assignment 3.9

About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 3.11:

Assignment 3.11 is an introduction to transformations of polygons on the coordinate plane.

Prerequisite Skills: Classify transformations (Assignment 3.5).  Write coordinates of points on the coordinate plane and plot points on the coordinate plane (Assignment 1.7).  Evaluate functions.

Definition:  A transformation (T) in the coordinate plane is a function.

For each point in the preimage (x1, y1), there is one point in the image (x2, y2) such that T(x1, y1) = (x2, y2)
