Assignment 3.15 is an introduction to the medians of a triangle.

 

Prerequisite Skills: Identify vertices of triangles (Assignment 3.1).  Identify midpoints (Assignment 1.16).  Name line segments (Assignment 1.12).

 

Definition:  A line segment with endpoints at a vertex of a triangle and the midpoint of the side opposite the vertex is a median. (There are three medians in a

                         triangle.)
