Assignment 3.19 is an introduction to classification of quadrilaterals by congruent sides.

 

Prerequisite Skills: Identify and name congruent line segments (Assignment 1.15).  

 

Definitions:  A quadrilateral with all sides congruent is a rhombus. 

                           A parallelogram with a pair of consecutive congruent sides is a rhombus.​​​

                           A trapezoid with congruent legs is an isosceles trapezoid.

                           A quadrilateral with exactly two pairs of distinct consecutive congruent sides is a kite.
