Assignment 4.18 is practice finding and calculating measures of angles in parallelograms with diagonals.

 

Prerequisite Skills:  Name alternate interior angles (Assignment 2.14).  Find the measures of alternate interior angles on a transversal that intersects parallel lines (Assignment 4.6). Calculate measures of angles in triangles (Assignment 4.8).  Find the measures of the base angles in isosceles triangles (Assignment 4.11).  Solve algebraic equations with one variable.  

 

Theorems:      A diagonal of a rhombus divides the rhombus into two isosceles triangles.

                              A diagonal of a rhombus bisects the opposite angles of the rhombus.

                              The diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular.
