About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 4.19:

Assignment 4.19 is an introduction to the triangle inequality theorem.

Prerequisite Skills:  Measure sides of triangles (Assignment 1.11).  Verify inequalities containing the < and > signs.

Theorems:      The sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the length of the third side.

The sum of the lengths of the two shorter sides of a triangle is greater than the length of the longest side.
