About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 4.6:

Assignment 4.6 is the development and application of theorems about the measures of pairs of angles determined by parallel lines intersected by a transversal.

Prerequisite Skills:  Measure angles with a protractor (Assignment 2.6).  Calculate the measures of angles in linear pairs (Assignment 4.4).

Theorems:  If parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, then the corresponding angles are congruent.

If parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, then the alternate interior angles are congruent.

If parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, then the same side interior angles are supplementary.
