About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 4.7:

Assignment 4.7 is the development and application of theorems for determining whether two lines intersected by a transversal are parallel.

Prerequisite Skill:  Calculate the measures of angles in linear pairs (Assignment 4.4).

Theorems:  If two lines are intersected by a transversal so that the corresponding angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel.

If two lines are intersected by a transversal so that the alternate interior angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel.

If two lines are intersected by a transversal so that the corresponding angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel.
