Assignment 5.18 is an introduction to indirect proof.

 

Prerequisite Skills:  Use congruent triangles and CPCTC to prove pairs of sides and angles of triangles congruent (Assignment 5.17).

 

Definition:  An indirect proof is proof in which the contradiction of a conclusion is assumed to be true and is shown to result logically in a contradiction pf a given
