Definition:  The Law of Detachment is a valid argument in which one of the premises is a conditional and the other is a specific case of the hypothesis of the

                        conditional.

 

                        Conditional Premise:      If p, then q.

                        Specific Case Premise:  p

                        Conclusion:                    q
