Assignment 5.8 is an introduction to syllogisms (law of transitivity)
Prerequisite Skill: Identify the hypothesis and conclusion in conditional sentences (Assignment 5.6).
Definitions: A syllogism is a valid argument in which the conclusion is the logical result of two premises.
For a hypothetical syllogism, the premises are conditionals.
Conditional Premise: If p, then q.
Conditional Premise: If q, then r.
Conclusion: If p, then r.
