Assignment 7.14

Values of Trigonometric Ratios

Objectives
Calculate the sin, cos, and tan ratios for angle measures of 30, 45, and 60 using the isosceles right triangle and 30-60 right triangle theorems.

Use a table of trigonometric values to find values of the ratios for other given angle measures.

About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 7.14:

Assignment 7.14 is an introduction to trigonometric values for given angle measures.

Prerequisite Skills:  Complete trigonometric ratios (Assignment 7.12).  Apply theorems relating lengths of sides in isosceles right triangles (Assignment 7.7).  Apply theorems relating lengths of sides in right triangles with acute angles measuring 30 and 60 (Assignment 7.9).

Definitions:   (A trigonometric table lists approximate values of trigonometric ratios for angle measures from 0 to 90.)
