About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 7.7:

Assignment 7.7 is a development of theorems relating the lengths of sides in isosceles right triangles.

Prerequisite Skills:  Apply the Pythagorean Theorem to find lengths of sides in right triangles (Assignment 7.3).

Theorems:   The length of the hypotenuse of an isosceles right triangle is equal to the length of a leg multiplied by the square root of 2.

The length of a leg of an isosceles right triangle is equal to one-half the length of the hypotenuse multiplied by the square root of 2.
