About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 7.8:     

 

Assignment 7.8 is practice in the application of the theorems relating the lengths of sides in isosceles right triangles.

 

Prerequisite Skills:  Apply the Isosceles Right Triangle Theorems to find lengths of sides in right triangles (Assignment 7.7).  

 

Theorems:   The length of the hypotenuse of an isosceles right triangle is equal to the length of a leg multiplied by    2    .

                           The length of a leg of an isosceles right triangle is equal to one-half the length of the hypotenuse multiplied by    2   .

                           If an acute angle of a right triangle measures 45, then the right triangle is iscsceles.

                           The length of the diagonal of a square is equal to the length of a side multiplied by     2    .
