Assignment 8.16 is an introduction to surface area of polyhedrons.

Prerequisite Skills:  Identify faces of polyhedrons (Assignment 8.15).  Find the area of rectangles and squares (Assignment 8.3).  Find areas of triangles (Assignment 8.6).  Find areas of regular polygons (Assignment 8.9).

Definition:  The surface area (S) of a polyhedron is the sum of the areas of its faces.
