Assignment 10.21 is an introduction to the theorem about the lengths of segments of intersecting chords.

 

Prerequisite Skills:  Measure lengths to the nearest cm (Assignment 1.11).  Identify arcs intercepted by inscribed angles (Assignment 10.10).  Solve algebraic equations with one variable.

 

Theorem:  The products of the lengths of the segments of each of two intersecting chords are equal.
