About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 3.4:

Assignment 3.4 is an introduction to central angles of polygons.

Prerequisite Skills:  Name angles (Assignment 2.4).

Definitions:  The center of a regular polygon is a point that is equidistant from the vertices of the polygon.

A central angle of a regular polygon is an angle with its vertex at the center of the polygon and sides that contain consecutive vertices of the polygon.

Theorem:  The measure of a central angle of a regular polygon is 360  (n is the niumber of sides in the polygon)

                                                                                                                n
