About Geometry Worksheet Assignment 7.10:     

 

Assignment 7.10 is practice in the application of theorems relating the lengths of sides in right triangles with acute angles measuring 30 and 60.

 

Prerequisite Skills:  Apply the theorems for 30-60 right triangles to find lengths of sides (Assignment 7.9).  

 

Theorems:   In a 30-60 right triangle,

                           the length of the short leg is equal to one-half the length of the hypotenuse.

                           (the length of the hypotenuse is twice the length of the short leg)

                           the length of the long leg is equal to the length of the short leg multiplied by    3   .

 

                           In a 30-60 right triangle,

                           the length of the short leg is equal the length of the long leg divided by     3  .

                           (the length of the short leg is equal to one-third the length of the long leg multiplied by      3   .
